Practice Makes Perfect – Playing Soccer
Rio loved playing soccer, but he wasn’t very good at it. He often missed the ball and couldn’t run as fast as his friends. One day, after losing a game, Rio felt very sad and sat alone near the field.
His coach came over and said, “Don’t give up, Rio. You just need more practice. Remember, practice makes perfect!”
From that day, Rio made a plan. Every morning before school, he practiced kicking the ball against a wall. After school, he ran around the field to improve his speed. On weekends, he watched videos of famous soccer players and learned new moves.
Weeks passed, and Rio kept practicing. Slowly, he got better at dribbling, passing, and shooting. His friends noticed the change and started passing the ball to him more during games.
Finally, during a big match against another school, Rio scored the winning goal. His teammates lifted him up and cheered. Rio smiled and said to himself, “I’m glad I didn’t give up. Practice really does make perfect.”
